As demand grows in South Africa, regulators are now trying to find a middle ground: allowing crypto investments, but in a way The Pension Lawyers Association (“PLA”) are delighted to invite you to register to attend the 28th PLA annual conference to be held on Tuesday, 9 and Wednesday, 10 April 2024 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

As always, much thought has gone into producing a conference which is thought-provoking and challenging and which offers high quality analysis, but always with a view to its practical application. Our knowledgeable speakers will provide you with expert legal and practical analysis and discussions on topical legal issues affecting the financial services and retirement funds industry. In addition, we will bring you up to date on relevant judgments and decisions, including from the courts and the Adjudicator. The programme and speakers are currently being finalised and will be shared shortly.  We are honoured to have Ms Himanshi Jain, Senior Social Protection Specialist from the World Bank, Ms Astrid Ludin, Deputy Commissioner at the FSCA, and Adv Muvhango Lukhaimane, the Pension Funds Adjudicator, as confirmed speakers for our conference.

The PLA is a non-profit organisation and does accept or rely on sponsorship to subsidise the costs of its conferences.
